Vicksburg National Military Park,
Mississippi

The UNHS was fortunate to be selected to interrupt the USS Cairo at Vicksburg.  For the weekend the members inhabited the remains of the gunboat and presented displays for the public.  This was the start of a living history program aboard the Cairo which had not been considered before.
